Viewers Agree with Connecticut AG: CVS Should be Sued for Selling Expired Products
Majority of viewers are less likely to purchase products from CVS

Flemington, NJ, December 3, 2009 – A new media study among 284 Americans revealed that the majority (80%) reported that Connecticut’s attorney general should sue CVS after viewing a news clip about CVS selling expired products in Connecticut.

The study was conducted by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website on December 2-3 to obtain viewers’ perceptions of a news clip about CVS selling expired products in Connecticut. To view interest curves and detailed results go to: www.mediacurves.com.

 The majority of viewers (62%) stated that they would be less likely to purchase products from CVS after viewing the video. In addition, participants who indicated that they were less likely to purchase products at CVS reported that they would most likely shop at Walgreens.

While viewing the video, participants indicated their levels of interest by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. The participants were also asked to respond to post-viewing questions.

I'm not aware of a CVS pharmacy where I live at, but if I am somewhere that does, I will think twice or check twice before shopping there.

consumers need to take resposibility for checking expiration dates when it pertains to products which serve a higher purpose and that is not excusing cvs for their lazy practices, but we always preach to our children to double check and so should we

Would have liked to clarify my answer on if they should be sued or not. I think there is too much suing going on in america.They should be fined and maybe put on probation where if it kept happening ,they would have to close.

I do not think the attorney general should sue CVS unless someone was hurt from the expired products. There should be some sort of punishment and plan put in action to make sure this does not happen but why keep being sue happy. If he sues them it will just make prices go higher than they already are.
