RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
I'm just glad the little boy was ok and I'm still undecided if this was a publicity stunt from the family or not. There was a remark the boy made to the effect that it was staged, but I'll be watching the news on that tonight to see more of the facts.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
I can't believe the family hoxed everyone that way. They should go to jail. Disgusting!
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
this was a funny but cute story
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
thank you and the video what so clear and extremely easy to hear. Great Job. And I so glad the little boy was no in that balloon,
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
So sad, don't evenknow what to say, so many worried people
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
Very interesting survey. I had heard about this story yesterday from a couple of sources and had read about it in the paper. Thank you.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
I saw a clip of the boy's saying it was done for the "show," and the father's rather overdone protest. As Shakespeare said, "methinks the man protests too much."
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
The appealing aspect was that this was news that connected to our childhood desires of adventure with the morbidness of the possible danger this boy could have been faced with. I think its appropriate/coincidental that the movie "Where the Wild Things Are" comes out the day after a boy "runs away" for fear of a parental punishment. Very gripping story with a happy ending!
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
I don't believe this was real. The father is way too dramatic for my taste.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
I knew the outcome of the story when I saw this video, so my interest on the meter reflects more how interested I was - since this was yesterday, and my interest in what I already knew would be about zero.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
They should make the family pay for the expense of all those rescue workers trying to help that family in vain.,
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
I was astonished at the media coverage of this story. I was so sincerely concerned for this child that I started to cry and became extremely interested in following the story. I now believe this to a 'hoax' and the parents should be arrested and charged if for nothing else but wasting the taxpayers dollars for this trick .
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
I think it was a something that was staged
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
A hoax i suspect, for publicity. Thank you.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
That was a interesting story.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
too much coverage once they found out it was fraud
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
great footage

Got it! Tahkns a lot again for helping me out!
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
they interviewed the family for an HOUR last night..WAY TOO MUCH
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
Would like to see how long the video will be playing.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
After they found out the boy had not been in the balloon, there wasn't much of a story and they should have moved on to other news.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
As a news story it was fine. When coverage continued all afternoon, there was a problem. CNN and Michael Jackson was enough. This story developed into a farce.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
The parents should be prosecuted if they put the boy up to hide for their own gain
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
Watch his idiot parents get some kind of freaking reality show out of this! Why dumb people continue to get rewarded for this kind of stupid behavior escapes me!
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
that kid should have gotton a spanking
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
this story is a travesty. i am interested in what others have to say.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
this story is a complete hoax and I hope the people whp perpetuated it to gain publicity have to pay for all the manpower over 3 counties it took to find an empty balloon and the kid conveniently coming down from the garage attic...how nice he had snacks during his wait. Of course when anything like this happens the media immediately falls all over themselves to be 1st on the scene. During the ensuing coverage of this gripping story, was anyone aware that 4 more of our troops died today in Afghanistan?
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
It turned out to be a Hoax. Parents just wanted publicity. They should be put in jail and fined.
RE: Balloon Boy Media Coverage
Thank GOd he was found safe and unharmed!
