Oprah Winfrey Endorsement of Obama has Little Effect among Democratic Voters
More than Half Believe Her Support will Help Obama's Campaign
Flemington, NJ, December 12, 2007 – According to a new national study among 400 self-reported Democrats, Oprah Winfrey’s ringing endorsement of Senator Barack Obama did little to sway voter support for the senator.
The study was conducted by HCD Research during December 11-12, to obtain Americans’ views of a video in which Oprah Winfrey expresses her support for Senator Obama during a campaign stop at South Carolina University on Sunday.
While viewing segments of the video, participants indicated their levels of agreement by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. Participants were asked pre- and post-viewing questions regarding their support for the Democratic presidential candidates. To view detailed results and agreement curves, go to: www.mediacurves.com

RE: Oprah Winfrey's Speech for Barack Obama
I don't believe that anyone should vote for Mr. Obama. He is against our flag, our country's song, our fighting troops, or our Bible. How can anyone feel comfortable with a man who has nothing in common with the people who he will be leading?
Oprah was made by these believing American people and she can be taken out by them.
RE: Oprah Winfrey's Speech for Barack Obama
I feel that Oprah is misleading the American people by siding with Obama, because she is such a powerful spokeperson and people will believe her even when she might be wrong. I think we should all make up our minds on our on accord and not be influenced by people like Oprah. And on the survey for today, 01/02/08, that I just finished on the middle eastern woman. I feel she spends way to much money on herself. She has a complection that is perfect. Her eyebrows are perfectly groomed. The amount of makeup shows she spends a lot of grooming. And her teeth is awsome. There has been a lot of money put into her mouth. Her teeth is shaped perfect, and white as cotton. They have been bleeched many times. I feel she does not repesent the majarioty of the American people. And she is not an American to boot. This is just a few things I have noticed about her.
RE: Oprah Winfrey's Speech for Barack Obama
I feel he is too young to lead the courntry. He is too inexperienced.
RE: Oprah Winfrey's Speech for Barack Obama
I sincerely believe that celebrities should just stay out of the limelight when picking a candidate. We do not want to know who your voting for and why.I am 38 years old and my Mother and Father still do not tell me who they vote for.It is a gift from our military that we can vote in privacy and freedom.I think it is sacred actually. The celebs are just ego maniacs trying to get publicity and schmooz with a possible president for ego purposes only.
RE: Oprah Winfrey's Speech for Barack Obama
Soon politicians will have a celebrity endorsers of their own and that's is just not sane. Celebrities should not use their popularity to sway votes. What makes celebrities' opinion more important than ours?
