Weiner Sandwiched Between David Letterman and Chris Brown on Sincerity Scale
Slim majority say Weiner's apology was sincere
Flemington, NJ, June 8, 2011 – A new media study among 1,557 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents revealed that more than half indicated that Congressman Anthony Weiner’s apology for sending lewd photos through Twitter was sincere.
The study was conducted during June 7-8 by HCD Research to obtain viewers’ perceptions of a video in which Anthony Weiner apologized for Tweeting the photos to various women. To view detailed results of the study go to: www.mediacurves.com.

While viewing the video, participants indicated their perceived levels of sincerity by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. The participants were also asked to respond to post-viewing questions.

He should be made to resign - lying is not acceptable in the position he has - why should he be excused when none of the other diviants in Congress were excused. He will never be able to live this down. His offence was considerable worse then Mark Spitz.

His reputation has taken a hit but it is up to the constituents of his district as to whether he should be re-elected. I wouldn't vote for him, but I would not demand he resign. He made mistakes, admitted them, and as long as no laws have been broken, should stay in office and run for re-election.

SubhaI am very sorry to write in English as I did not know how to get the text in Telugu script. I do not blenog to this generation. But as a mother of two sons (one in 9th grade and one in 4th grade) studying in Hyd during 1980-88 can authentically tell that the deterioration of teaching Telugu language in schools started from that time. I remember taking up my frustration by arguing with the teacher how hard it is getting for the children to learn Telugu as no constructive method in teaching the language was being applied. The teacher was an young woman of 25 years and appeared confused. May be the management thought that teaching Telugu was an easy one as it is the mother tongue of the children and that grammer is not that important. The language was taught with no foundation, so naturally reached a state of decay in 25 years. It is exactly the way they taught Hindi to me when I was in school. I used to dread Hindi classes as I was not able to comprehend the change of verbs with the gender. And naturally I forgot that language once I completed high school. Now the current generation is being taught Telugu the way they learnt it and naturally they lost interest in teaching it as they themselves do not enjoy the beauty of the language. I still remember my telugu teacher and we were enthusiastically waiting for his class explaning the alamkarams, samasams and chandassu. Finding the ganas and vrithams of the poems was a thrill. My first son who was in 9th grade did not hear about them at all! So we do not have to blame the current parents and teachers for the deterioration of standard in teaching Telugu. The basic problem started 30-35 years back and people are opening their eyes once the ruin is complete.

I've observed that in the world of today, video games are deetinifly the latest fad with kids of all ages. There are times when it may be unattainable to drag young kids away from the activities. If you want the best of both worlds, there are numerous educational video games for kids. Interesting post.

Yeah it looks bad what he did, but I think other politicians do things that are much worse, they just don't get caught. I think it was respectable of him to admit his wrongs and apologize publicly, but I also think him getting 'choked up' during the apology was a little faked.

This is yet another example of how the internet has always and continues to be used as a portal for unfaithfulness. Hes not the first and he wont be the last but in his line of work...he should be forced to resign. We lied and tried to cover it up. He seemed forced to give his little speech but I can guarentee you...he will be more careful not to get caught next time.

While I accept Weiner's apology as sincere, actions do have consequences, and he has become a detriment to the important causes for which he has fought. Therefore, he should resign from Congress and fight for the same causes in a less visible role.
