National Study: Majority of Physicians Still Believe Miracles Can Occur Today
Higher percentage of physicians pray for patients than in previous study

Flemington, NJ, December 14, 2010 -- A new national study among 1,005 physicians revealed that a higher percentage of physicians (75%) reported that miracles can occur today, compared to a previous study in 2008 in which 70% of physicians indicated that miracles can occur today.

The study was conducted to obtain physicians’ perceptions of faith, prayer and miracles in the medical field as well as their everyday lives.

The study revealed that the majority of physicians (53%) indicated that they pray for their patients as a whole compared to the 2008 study in which 49% of physicians reported that they pray for their patients.

In addition, there was a slight increase in the percentage of physicians who reported that they encourage their patients to pray because it is psychologically and spiritually beneficial.

I would not want a doctor that does not believe in God and the power of prayer. God gave you the skills to heal. Doctors need to use those skills to heal as Luke did with the knowledge you have and the belief that God can be a great, and is great part in the healing
