Flemington, NJ, September 28, 2010 – A new national study among 532 Americans revealed that the majority perceived Bishop Long as being more sincere after viewing a video clip in which he addresses members during a church service.
The study was conducted on September 27, by HCD Research and reported on its MediaCurves.com® website to obtain Americans’ perceptions of Bishop Eddie Long amid rising concerns regarding allegations of seduction and sexual misconduct. The speech had a significant impact on Bishop Long’s perceived sincerity ratings, which increased from 3.16 prior viewing the speech to 3.47 after viewing the speech. Bishop Long’s favorability ratings also increased from 2.99 prior to viewing the speech to 3.30 after viewing the speech.

While viewing the video, participants indicated their levels of believability by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. Participants were also asked pre- and post-viewing questions.
