Democrats Do Not Agree With Ferraro that Race was a Factor in Obama’s Success: They believe she was speaking for herself and this should have not been said. The Democrats rejected the comments except the compaign. Ferraro said she did not mean it as the public took it. But note this from Washington Post, an old quote from Geraldine Ferraro: "If Jesse Jackson were not black, he wouldn't be in the race". I am seeing that Ferraro wants the public to reconsider the fact he is of color and running for President.
