Flemington, NJ, July 28, 2009 – A new national media study among 303 viewers of a news clip which discussed Michael Vick's future in the NFL now that he has been released from prison revealed that most Americans (67%) feel that Vick should not be allowed back to play in the NFL.
The study was conducted by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website on July 27, to obtain viewers’ perceptions of former NFL star, Michael Vick, and his future in the NFL upon his release from prison.
The study also revealed that the majority of Americans (67%) feel that Michael Vick did not receive a severe enough punishment for being indentified as "the key figure" of an extensive unlawful interstate dogfighting ring operating over a period of five years.
Among the findings:
“Do you think that Michael Vick should be allowed to play in the
NFL now that he has been released from prison?”
“Do you think that Michael Vick’s sentencing was a fair one?”

While viewing the video, participants indicated their levels of agreeability by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. The participants were also asked to respond to post-viewing questions.
