a mosque to be build on the 911 site is an ill advised idea.By doing so the existing animosity towards moslems will on intensify. Build the mosque if it is sincerely needed, but not on the site as planned.

I strongly feel a mosque should not be built and find it offensive to all those who lost their lives on Sept. 11th

I don't feel that all religions are treated equal. I strongly feel that the Christian's are being over looked, and that Obama is doing nothing for us or our country. I think he is out to destroy our country.

Even though the Muslims don't go by the Bible there is a scripture that says "All things are lawful but not all things are advantageous" I think this scripture applies in this case.

Freedom or religion is just that - freedom to practice religion without persecution. We have to lead by example, and if we willfully exclude one religion, we do not gain respect.

While this presidency espouses religioua liberty, it also espouses tolerance. It seems intolerant and unfeeling to not consider the victims of 9-1who lost loved ones, not to mention the rest of the nation who are against this.

I see the President's comments as being two faced. He thinks he can please everyone that way and there are some of us who value truth, honesty and true patriotism to the USA not band standing to say things that please all but have no basis for truth. Obama continually puts down the American way of life and I consider that being a real traitor and a habitual liar.

I honestly do respect people of all religions but Ground Zero is a very different circumstance. I absolutely do not approve of a muslim mosque being built there. A total slap in the face to the victims of 9/11 and their families.

I think that the Muslims have every right to build a mosque where ever they chose to do so. This right is protected in the constitution...they have freedom of religion and freedom to build a place of worship. However, they should realize that by doing so on ground 0 they are creating a great deal of controversy. People will be upset and I can guarantee that someone or a group of people will try to destroy it. They are asking for trouble. They may be just trying to make a statement, but this statement will cause more animosity towards them. I would give the consequences to this decision a little more thought before going ahead with it.
