I think this is becoming an issue when it shouldn't be. I think we should focus on what's important. The reasons behind a decision don't always have to be faith based. Sometimes they are just the right things to do. I don't agree with everything Obama does, but I don't think he makes his decisions based on his faith as much as he does his character.

I think that President Obama is a very nice person. He is showing the freedom to practice religion to allow Muslims to have Mosque near ground zero. There were Muslims killed in 911 the same as Jews and Christians.

I believe that also. He is a christian. He hardly had anytime with his father or his influence in anyway. His upbringing was by his grandparents. People should know from that. Obama is a very nice man who is trying very hard.

I think Obama being elected as President of the United States was a BIG mistake. We know very little about him and not having any prior experience in dealing with all that involves to hold his office, he has failed the american people. He is more concerned about the Muslims' feelings than he is about the people who lost their lives in the 9/11 bombing. I do not trust him or his advisors.

Obama is a Muslim who is essentally making a terrorsit attack on America from the White House. He should be arrested and jailed for treason. He is importing Muslims to take America over with tax dollars and allowing 35 terrorist training camps on American soil to teach terrorists how to kill Americans, CHristinas and Jews.

I think Franklin Graham is correct in his assessment. As an ordained Catholic deacon most Christians amaze me at thier ability to forget the Gospels and sit in judgement over what's in other peoples heart. One of the commands of Christ that is reiterated over and over again in the Gospels is "do not judge" yet just because we profess to belong to him we continually judge each other and use religion and the Gospels as a weapon against each other. In regards to the Masque, why should an entire nation/religion be judged by the actions of a few? It seems to me the Obama recognizes this. We are all brothers and sister and for the love of Christ if not for each other we should be more gentle in our opinions and generous in our forgiveness. America has never gotten over the holier than thou attitude that attached itself to us during the founding of this nation. That's why building prisons is big business in this country, we don't forgive nor do we forget but we claim to to this in the name of Jesus. To me these attitudes are the antithesis of what we are call to in Christ.

The Bible in John 7:24 says, "Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgement." We have to decide what is right and what is wrong. We cannot condone evil under the guise of "not judging". Islam is evil...the religion is evil. It is not ok for the President of the United States to be a part of a religion that hates America and killed 3000 innocent people on 911. 911 would have never happened had it not been for Islam. Yes, forgive (some people will understandably have a hard time with that)...but NOT forget or condone...lest 911 or worse should happen again....and will if people like you turn a blind eye to the 911 atrocity. Interesting you should mistype the word masque instead of mosque.....seeing a mask covers the truth. Building a mosque on Ground Zero is an insult to America, to the people that died there and to their families. Islam knows that....it IS their intent.
America was founded upon Christian principles (holier than thou attitude?) but has always been a melting pot for all creed and religions....BUT WE WILL NOT CONDONE MURDER IN THE NAME OF allah.
Prisons are big business in our country because so many have parted from our Christian heritage.

So many questions have come about because of our President's race that would not have even been thought of if the president were a white male. This is what causes me concern. And I'm sure takes time away from what the real issues are those need solving. One wonders if this is part of the plan. Distract, denigrate, cause doubt in every area possible to slow down the process of his REAL job.

I agree with it all the way. None of these problems of religion and birth place would be an issue for the president had he been white............

as would any polition, he tells us what we want to hear not the truth and that is why this country is not going to be the world power it once was. the goverment must give the people back its power to change things not waiting for a govermenyt handout which if you look at obamas past thats all he has ever done spend tax payer money on programs that do not help the masses only the minorities the debate remains on realism not racisum.

President Obama is a Christian, but even if he wasn't , who cares. We are suppose to have freedom of religion in this country which means he can practive any faith or none without religious persicution. So let's stop harrassing the president and start concentrating on real issues like; financial reform, unemployment, health care, global warming, the BP diaster, and all the other important issues that the GOP and tea party don't want you thinking about.

President Obama was a member of Jeremiah Wright's church that practiced Black Liberation Theology for 20+ years. I do not consider this a Christian faith. He also believes stronly in social justice which I consider socialist by its nature. The President's ACTIONS indicate that he is not proud of the United States and it's history, nor it's founding principles and Constitution. An elected official under our Costitution follows the will of the MAJORITY of it's citizens, Obama does not follow the will of the citizenry. This does not demonstrate "leadership" as he says. This demonstrates demogoguery.

I think people made up that he was muslim so they wouldnt vote for him. If you look at Michelle she is not wearing one of them coverings on her head. I think a true Muslim man would want his woman to practice his religion. he is definately a Christian who is trying his best.

Ever since this man has been in office he has to fight to pass any issues as the republicans will not let him succeed and my opinion is they do this purposely as they are still traditionally against the black man upholding the highest office in the nation and they can't handle it. Obama is for the right thing but they will not allow him to succeed so they can say "see, told you he couldn't do it." Jealous rage.
