All Parties Decrease Favorability for Both Candidates after Viewing New Sestak Ad

Joe Sestak Not on our Side
New ad causes undecided voters among all parties to choose sides

Flemington, NJ, October 22, 2010 – A new national study among 358 self-reported Pennsylvania Democrats, Republicans and Independents revealed that all parties decreased their favorability levels for Joe Sestak and Pat Toomey after viewing a new attack ad by Sestak.

The study was conducted by HCD Research and the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion (MCIPO) on October 21, to obtain Americans’ perceptions of a new ad by Joe Sestak for Senate, which focuses on the similarities between Pat Toomey and Rick Santorum, his support for former governor Palin and his anti-abortion stance.

The ad slightly moved all parties with regard to their opinion of Joe Sestak by slightly decreasing favorability by 1% among Democrats, 3% among Republicans, and 8% among Independents. However, the ad significantly decreased favorability levels toward Toomey by 8% among  Democrats, 5% among Republicans and 10% among Independents.

The ad also caused voters to choose candidates as Sestak gained 6% among Democrats, 2% among Republicans and 3% among Independents. Pat Toomey gained 2% among Democrats, 3% among Independents and lost 1% among Republicans.

I really dislike Toomey because of his staunch conservative record, but I also really dislike Sestak because of his involvement in covert affairs during the Iraq war which caused many civilian casualties.

As you can see i don't particularlly like either candidate. Thet both sling mud but niether has spoken of a real solution to our problems .IE no Social Security increase foe those on SSI .No real releif in our medical bills ie regulating pharmaceutical companies and oil companies from gouging the life blood out of the country . This all came about with the past congress,Who in fact have more power than the President

Sestak is for gun control and these days you need guns. My husband was a lifetime NRA member and they want Toomey.

We need to install term limits and get candidates who will govern for the people and work to provide, 'a level playing ground'. It seems that we have not done that. These candidates need to be physcally sound and able to trim the state budget bringing it into balance.

It's so hard to pick the right man or woman. They say one thing then they do something else. It's very hard to see who is telling the truth.

Nothing would ever make me vote for Joe Sestak - Considering all the things Arlen Specter did for us Joe couldn't even take one step in his shoes. As long as Toomy is AGAINST a womans right to choose I will never vote for him. Palin is an idiot!!!!!!!

Rick Santorem was a disaster and the last thing we need is 6 years of a right wing extremist in the senate

I live in Sydney and I've never seen a pair under a hundred doalrls.I saw some last week around Circular Quay and (I'm not 100% sure, as I wasn't really looking to find the price of them, but just turned a pair over to see ..) I think they were around $ 150.Not sure who told you $ 30 but no way!!!I'll have another look this afternoon and update my answer tonight if I remember. I'd steer clear of buying them around the touristy areas like Circular Quay, The Rocks etc, as they're likely to be pricier.
