I agree with Ferraro. I know she didn't word it well, and that in Today's world where a sound bite can be replayed over and over, I thought it was a stupid thing to say. I think there's a big double standard in the media so I'm not surprised they're going after Ferraro needlessly. Again, even though I agree, I think Ferraro shouldn't have even tried to explain it further. We saw it was an ineffective response.

This is just another example of the left liberal media slanting things and looking for racism were there isn't any.

Sorry, No one will ever convince me that a well seasoned politician like Mrs Ferarro, said in front of an audience that Obama is where he is because he's black, and not thing this would not be front page news. There's seems to be a concerted effort over at the Clinton camp to topple Obama from securing the nomination. This isn't the first surrogate in the Clinton camp to make off-handed racial remarks. Just a couple of days ago Pennsylvania Governor and long time Clinton supporter Ed Rendell was quoted to say that Whites in Pennsylvania would be reluctant to vote for a black man. Yes, this is the same Ed Rendell who in his own campaign for Governor of Pennsylvania in 06. Commented after his win that the winnig margin would have been bigger had Lynn Swann (a black man) been a white guy. Which is it Ed...

Democrats Do Not Agree With Ferraro that Race was a Factor in Obama’s Success: They believe she was speaking for herself and this should have not been said. The Democrats rejected the comments except the compaign. Ferraro said she did not mean it as the public took it. But note this from Washington Post, an old quote from Geraldine Ferraro: "If Jesse Jackson were not black, he wouldn't be in the race". I am seeing that Ferraro wants the public to reconsider the fact he is of color and running for President.

I do not believe that race has anything to do with this. At least not to a high degree. Remember that is he also white. Not just black. If anything, this should be against him not for him.
