Americans Weigh-in on Al Gore's Comments Regarding Same Sex Marriages

Views Differ Among Political Parties

Flemington, NJ, January 25, 2008 - A new national study among 537 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and independents revealed that support for same sex marriages differed among political parties, with the majority of Democrats in favor of same sex unions and the majority of Republicans not in favor of same sex unions.

The communications research study was conducted by HCD Research during January 24-25, to obtain Americans’ perceptions of a video segment in which former Vice President Al Gore expresses his views on same sex marriages.

While viewing the video segment, participants indicated their levels of agreement by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. Participants were asked pre- and post-viewing questions regarding their opinions on same sex marriages. To view detailed results and agreement curves, go to: www.mediacurves.com

“Not surprisingly, there was a significant separation in the response curves among Democrats and Republicans regarding the former vice president’s comments about same sex unions,” explained Glenn Kessler, president and CEO, HCD Research. At no point did Democrats’ response fall into the “disagree” zone, whereas Republicans throughout the video segment showed levels of disagreement or a neutral response.”

Because of today's Liberal Media I cannot see where the homosexual people are being discriminated against. I belong to the most discriminated against section in this country. I am a middle aged, married, Christian, white, male. I have the least rights of any person or group in the country. Being a Christian, I believe the Bible from "In to Amen" and no place in there does it condone homosexual marriage or homosexual behavior and as a matter of fact it calls it Sin. It does talk about homosexual behavior in the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah and how God utterly destroyed them both. Marriage is based on the Bible and Christian Values so why should Christians be required to change their views and values to appease the immoral minority.

For once I agree with Al Gore, suprised by his reaction, I guess I could have seen it coming..he's a bit out there but carries a good point. Who are we too judge such people Love is Love and thats all what matters. Who knows maybe people in the same sex relationship have it right? However I believe there is no wrong, as long as you love the person.
