Majority of Americans Support Bush Administration's Sanctions on Iran

All Political Parties Believe Sanctions will not Prevent Nuclear Weapons

Flemington, NJ, October 30, 2007 – The results of a national focus group among 300 Americans revealed that while the majority supports the Bush administration’s sanctions on Iran, they also believe that the sanctions will not be effective at preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

The study was conducted by HCD Research during October 29-30, to obtain Americans’ views on comments by Senator Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) during an interview with CBS News Anchor Bob Schieffer regarding the Bush administration’s sanctions on Iran.

While viewing a video clip of the interview, participants indicated their levels of agreement by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. Participants were also asked pre- and post-viewing questions. I wish that all of our potintial leaders would being to try to see where they are wrong and where they could do better. They could even try to see where the others could have good ideas in place of always critising each other.

Is the quest for nuclear arms and that of nuclear energy that close to determine the ambitions which Iran is chosing to persue? When, Iran choses peaceful nuclear power plant energy, or if Iran ever were not to have chosen nuclear weaponry, would this even become believed,or would our nation promptly perceive the worst and blow them up? Does anyone assume that Isreal whom possesses nuclear weapons is any safer? Why does Bush desire India to obtain nuclear power and technology? Is the choice merely a method of selling GE Turbines, and other technologies in exchange for India to open its market to foreign conquest? India possesses the majority of mom and pop stores, but what shall happen to all those family run businesses once Bush's homedepots arrive? is nuclear energy packages any different for locations as that of India and now Egypt compared to Iran?
