Americans Say WikiLeaks Founder Should be Prosecuted to Full Extent of the Law

Viewers believe Julian Assange is doing a disservice to the United States

Flemington, NJ, December 3, 2010 – A new national study among 307 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents revealed that all parties indicated that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange should prosecuted to the full extent of the law after viewing a video of Hillary Clinton discussing the WikiLeaks situation.

The study was conducted during December 1 -2, by HCD Research to obtain Americans’ perceptions of a video in which Hillary Clinton’s discloses some of the information that was leaked on the WikiLeaks website.

After viewing the video, all parties increased support for prosecuting Assange with Democrats increasing their support from 34% to 35%, Republicans from 47% to 51%, and Independents form 33% to 40%. In addition, when asked about the impact of the WikiLeaks situation, all parties reported that Assange is doing a disservice to the United States.

While viewing the video, participants indicated their perceived levels of agreement by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. The participants were also asked to respond to post-viewing questions.

I believe there are things that go on behind closed doors that the american people have a right to know about and should not be considered as business as usual. Americans have the right to know what their govt. is getting them involved in and who they are listening to as far as their actions go.

I believe that any material put in newspapers, cpu ect are a deliberate leak. Funny how it is only at this time with this administration that there having such problems in this area. I know am not trusting at this time.

Our government either needs to do a better job of securing information or completely change its code of conduct in diplomatic circles in order to prevent the embarrassment of words which could have been more carefully chosen.

I think that everyone should have privicy when they are talking to someone on the phone or anywere else for that mater. And nobody has the right to listen in on anybodys conversations.
