AIDS Vaccine
Majority are confident vaccine would help prevent spread of HIV and AIDS

Flemington, NJ, October 7, 2009 – A new media study among 305 viewers of a news clip which featured a new AIDS vaccine revealed that the majority of younger Americans (67% of 18-24-year-olds and 57% of 25-34-year-olds) indicated that they would be likely to get the AIDS vaccine if it became available in the U.S.

The study was conducted by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website on October 6, to obtain viewers’ perceptions of a news clip featuring a new AIDS vaccine that is currently in clinical research trials in Thailand.

The study also revealed that 65% of respondents are confident that the AIDS vaccine will be implemented worldwide. A clear majority of respondents (76%) reported that the vaccine would help in the prevention of HIV and AIDS, and reduce occurrences worldwide.

Among the findings:

Please indicate how likely you would be to get this AIDS vaccine if it were available to the public in the U.S.

I think the fact that HIV/AIDS is a virus that is mutating at a high rate may impact the findings alluded to in the video. Personally I would need a lot more information about the vaccine, it's efficacy and it's primary utilization by the body against the vaccine.

An encouraging interview and well conducted but not a great deal more promising than many of the past decade.

This short piece was very exiting to me. There are so many people (Adult as well as, Children) who need a vaccine that is safe to use and will perhaps evolve into an even better product that will end this horrific disease.

I have a big problem taking untried vaccines. I would want years and years of this vaccine to be out before I would even be tempted to take such a thing.
