I would watch Idol if Simon left but if it was bad, would not watch again. I would just watch XFactor.

When you asked if I would watch the show with Simon gone the true answer is that I would try it and see. The same is true now that Paula is gone. I will try it and see if I like it. I like Ellen but will miss Paula.

Simon does make the show interesting. ALthough the show itself has gotten boring the last few years. I will only be watching this year to see Ellen. If she were not on this year I would not watch it.

I hope the results of this survey will be used to change Simon Cowell's decision about leaving American Idol. I think many people feel as I do.

I would miss Simon's remarks to the contestants but even more, I hate to see a show that has made celebrities of so many people leave the air. I hope American Idol continues with or without Simon.

I think Simon brings credibility to the show. As was stated in the video, all the other judges are easily replaceable, and their opinions really don't matter all that much. Simon is definitely the key to the show that makes it work.

I will not watch American Idol in the future because of the unfair voting system. AI8 is the first time I really bothered to read the "fine print" and learn that the producers have the right to just pick the winner. Since the contest is completely bogus, why bother investing any time or energy in it. I was a very committed Idol viewer for the past 4 years -- but AI8 result and increased attempts at viewer manipulation has made the whole thing boring and predictable. Regarding Simon, he really was half asleep this past season so who cares if he leaves -- and I do not plan to watch X-Factor either. Time to bring back Star Search or some other show focused on talent again.

It seems that Simon wants more control and more money from Idol, so he is threating to walk out and import his own show that would make him far more money. It is a sad fact that entertainers are in it for the money not just to entertain the people any longer.
