Flemington, NJ, December 21, 2009 – A new media study among 1,003 Americans revealed that the most memorable celebrity gaffe of 2009 was the Tiger Woods scandal, which received 38% of the votes.
The study was conducted by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website during December 18-21, to obtain Americans’ perceptions of the top 10 celebrity gaffes of the year. To view detailed results go to: www.mediacurves.com.
Among the other most memorable celebrity gaffes were Kanye West’s interruption at the Video Music Awards, which received 15% of the votes, and Chris Brown’s assault of Rihanna, which received 11% of the votes. The release of former Miss California, Carrie Prejean’s sex tapes was rated as the least memorable, receiving 1% of the votes for the most memorable celebrity gaffe this year.
