Flemington, NJ, May 20, 2009 – A new study conducted among American Idol watchers revealed that most (58%) Idol viewers would like to see contestant, Kris Allen, go home on tonight’s finale show compared to 42% of viewers who said Adam Lambert should go home.
The study was conducted by MediaCurves.com® on May 19, to obtain American Idol viewers’ predictions and opinions of which contestant should win season 8 of American Idol on tonight’s finale show. MediaCurves.com® has conducted a weekly study during season 8 of American Idol to determine which contestants the viewers think should be voted off each week.
Throughout season 8, we ranked each American Idol judge on 4 attributes including likeability, believability, sincerity and fairness. We took the average of the 4 attribute scores for each judge to generate an overall ranking. Each week we compared the rankings while developing a cumulative score for each judge. At the end of the season, the highest ranking judge was Randy Jackson. Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul were tied for the second highest ranking judges and newcomer, Kara DioGuardi ended the season as the lowest ranking judge.
