American Idol Viewers Say Anoop Should Have been Voted off Instead of Jasmine


Viewers' report that Anoop, Jorge and Megan should be voted off last night's show

Flemington, NJ, March 12, 2009 – A new study conducted among American Idol viewers revealed that respondents indicated that contestant Anoop Desai, should have been voted off last night’s show instead of Jasmine Murray. 

The study was conducted by HCD Research earlier today, to obtain American Idol viewers’ predictions and opinions of which contestants should have been voted off last night’s results show. HCD Research is conducting a weekly study during the airing of American Idol Season 8 to gauge who American Idol viewers think should be voted off each week. The study results are compared to the actual results of the show each week.

Viewers were asked to choose their top three contestants from this week’s show that they thought should be voted off. The three contestants with the highest percentages included, Anoop Desai (18%), Jorge Nunez (17%) and Megan Joy (10%). On last night’s show, contestants Jorge Nunez and Jasmine Murray were eliminated from the competition.
