Americans Support Michael Vick's Comeback after Viewing Tucker Carlson's Comments

Majority of Americans say President Obama was wrong for pardoning Vick

Flemington, NJ, January 10, 2011– A new media national study among 996 Americans revealed that the majority of Americans still support Michael Vick’s NFL comeback after viewing Tucker Carlson’s comments on a Fox News show.

The study was conducted during January 5-6 by HCD Research and reported on its MediaCurves.com® website, to obtain viewers’ perceptions of Tucker Carlson’s comments during a Fox News show in which he stated that Michael Vick should be executed for torturing dogs.

After viewing the video, respondents slightly increased their support for Michael Vick’s comeback with 56% indicating that he should be allowed to play football compared to 54% prior to viewing the video. However, the majority of respondents (55%) also indicated that President Obama’s pardoning of Michael Vick was wrong after viewing the video clip.

While viewing the video, participants indicated their perceived levels of sincerity by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. The participants were also asked to respond to post-viewing questions.

if criminals cannot be allowed to re-enter society then they should simply all be executed because you are forcing them to be poor and in a similar state before they were incarcerated therefore increasing the risk of becoming criminals again

he does not need another dog to mistreat,kill.i think he enjoyed doing it is why he did so many dogs.he isn't a nice person!!!

Michael Vick should not be executed but he should of had a longer jail sentence.

michel vick did some thing wrong ,crule an stupid ,tuker carlson statment was a use of the wrong word ,i believe he was trying to make a point how stongly he felt about any one promoting dogs fighting to the death of one or maybe both.BUT his remark was a stupid one,an shouldnt haver said it .Both were stupid,dumb an wrong in behavuer.

it really break my heart and i cry when EVER i see a dog abused like this. dogs are so loving. they are such a companion and all they want to do is show love and affection. i have NO mery on mike vick or any person who treat any living-being this way. must have a cube of ice instead of a heart in their chest. tears tears tears

Everyone"s guilty of something, some more than others. We as a human race can only teach each other what is right and what is wrong. We act by what we are taught and grow and learn as we get older. One's environment also plays a role own what we perceive what is right and wrong. So, yes i believe he can change through knowledge and time.

I HAVE HAD THREE DOGS SINCE 2000,ONE WAS HORRIBLY ABUSED AND TAKEN TO THE POUND. WE RESCUED HER FROM THE POUND. DOGS SENSE WHEN SOMEONE IS GOING TO DO THAT AGAIN TO THEM,THE FEAR IS ALWAYS THERE. THE OTHER TWO I LOVED UNCONDITIONALLY,ONE MORE THAN THE OTHER,ASH WAS MY LIFE AND ALSO A POUND PUPPY. SHE DIDNT KNOW WHAT CRUELTY WAS UNTIL GOING TO A VETS OFFICE. WE MADE SURE THAT NEVER EVER HAPPENED AGAIN.SAMANTHA IS BEING CARE FOR UNCONDITIONALLY AND ALL OF HER NEEDS ARE BEING MET. SHE HAS MORE THAN GIVEN BACK.

I wored as the lawllibrarian at the Cook CCounty Jail in Chicago and I have met worse people tha Michael Vick who have done worse things to society not to dogs but people. Granted gthey are poor dumb animals but that's allthey are not people as some dog lovers equate them get real.

I just want to say that I have 3 dogs, and they are my family members. I think anyone who harms animals has some serious issues and that they are walking a fine line, meaning they are capable to doing that to a human being. I do not think Michael Vick is rehabilitated, it hasn' t been long enough. I don't think he should be playing football along with any other sports pro who is convicted of a crime. What message does this send to our youth!! You get busted with drugs, gambling, cheating, & especially, killing dogs, you should be out for good. But money wins over our morals in this country these days. As for the announcer, he let his dog-loving emotions get the best of him when he spoke on Vick. When he spoke about Obama, well, what can you say, he works for Fox News, that was to be expected. They take a jab at the President I dearly love every chance they get. Thanks for inviting me to this survey. I enjoyed it.
