Flemington, NJ, November 16, 2010 – A new national study among 309 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents revealed that all parties indicated that Kanye West’s apology to George W. Bush was not sincere after viewing the video.
The study was conducted during November 12 -15, by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website to obtain Americans’ perceptions of Kanye West’s apology to George W. Bushfollowing several interviews in which Bush refers to West’s racially based comments as a low point in his presidency.
Among all parties, the majority of Democrats (54%), Republicans (80%) and Independents (65%) reported that they do not believe Kanye West’s apology to George W. Bush was sincere. In addition, the majority all parties do not believe West’s assertion that George W. Bush does not care about black people.
“As we viewed the automated response curves, we saw that the sincerity levels were consistently low among all parties throughout the interview,” stated Glenn Kessler, president and CEO, HCD Research. “However, the curves dipped to the lowest point toward the end of the interview when West stated that made the racially based statement about Bush out of frustration.”
